Chris has spent 15 years in financial planning, and the work still draws on what first pulled him toward engineering: a love of math and the satisfaction of a good puzzle. Along the way he realized that the part he cared about most was the people. Financial planning asks for analytical rigor and real human understanding in equal measure, and it turned out to be where both interests met.
Chris grew up in a small, diverse town in Western New York, and he credits that upbringing for much of how he works today. His friends came from every corner of school life, from athletes and musicians to the students who lived for math, and he learned to move comfortably among all of them.
The 2008 financial crisis shaped how Chris thinks about planning. He saw how differently people responded to the same market, and how one frightening season could color someone's relationship with money for years. He built Wright Park Wealth around that lesson, treating planning as part analysis and part coaching and helping people make decisions that fit their own circumstances, particularly when emotions run high.
He holds the CFP® designation and works as a fiduciary, which means he's responsible for acting in the best interest of the people he advises.
Chris lives in Rochester with his wife, Caitlin, and their three children. The family spends much of its free time outdoors, picking apples in the fall and cheering on the Buffalo Bills, as everyone in Western New York eventually does.
